Green Screen

First of all, let’s clarify what is a green screen? A green screen is a visual effects technique where two images or video streams are layered together.

Why green? Technically, you can use any color background. A vibrant, almost neon green is the standard choice because it’s strong and usually a distinctly different color from anything on the subject like actor’s clothes, eyes, hair, accessories, etc.

But green doesn’t work for everything. You wouldn’t be able to film a green object on a green screen, it would disappear. In this case, you’d typically use a blue screen, the “second-in-line” color.

Green screen can be used in film and music video production, in news and weather reports, basically, in every production process where the desired background isn’t available.

A tip to remember: use a “coved” green screen for best results. A cove means a curved corner where the wall meets the floor. It will smooth out the transition from wall to floor and help to avoid shadows and hard lines that cause gradient changes in the green background.

White Cyclorama

White cyc-wall or cyclorama is a construction of two horizontal and vertical planes smoothly merging into each other, also called an infinity-wall. It helps to create that infinity effect of the same tone and smooth background — an endless space behind the models.

The white cyclorama is very useful for e-commerce, catalog, fashion photography because it helps to draw attention to the model or product you’re shooting.

A couple of tips to get the best experience with a white cyclorama:

1. The surface of cyclorama usually gets dirty very easily and you are not going to be happy re-touching all the footprints later. So, prepare a separate clean pair of shoes for you and the models and avoid walking on cyc before the shoot. Our team can provide you and your team with special shoe covers as well.
2. Sometimes there is an option for using sticky mats to get rid of all the dirt from the soles. 
3. Warn a studio team if your shooting process will involve paint, confetti, glitter, dry color, oil, liquid, or alike materials. All these materials stick to surfaces easily and are hard to clean.
4. Avoid eating or drinking near the white cyclorama. Food stains also do not look flattering on the final frames.
5. Don’t drag stands, tripods, furniture, or any other heavy equipment over the cyclorama in order not to scratch it. Instead, lift it and carry it over to the cyc wall.

Black Void Stage

Black Void space is a stage with an LED wall plus a black floor before the stage fenced with a black curtain. Similar to the white cyclorama, the black void creates the infinity effect and helps to focus on the main object of shooting.

This space is good for dancing and music video creation. Since we have a LED wall and stunt riser over the black void, it’s also a good option for filming special effects scenes for movie productions.
